Star Magic condemned this threat against Kim Chiu

Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu received a death threat from a netizen, and ABS-CBN’s talent management company, Star Magic, released a statement saying that they will be taking legal action.

Kim has been in the entertainment industry since 2006, after she became the first big winner of Pinoy Big Brother teen edition. This opened new opportunities for her in the entertainment industry.

Over the years, she became one of the most prominent talents of the Kapamilya network. She has done many series and movies. Kim also had hosting stints, and she is currently part of ABS-CBN’s noontime show It’s Showtime.

Her entire career is handled by Star Magic, and the Kapamilya talent management company continues to take care of her, not just when it comes to the opportunities she would have in showbiz, but also for her well-being.

Just recently, Kim Chiu received a death threat on social media. The netizen with username @carlanthony0222 commented on a post demanding that Kim give her address. “You want to die like the flooding happening P*TANG INA Mu give me your address para mabaril kita,” the netizen expressed.

Star Cinema said that they will not let this pass, and it is expected that they will address this matter. “Star Magic does not tolerate threats, derogatory remarks, and other personal attacks made online against our artists. These acts have serious and damaging consequences and we will take legal action, if necessary,” the talent management company said.

Kim Chiu received support from netizens, who also condemned the death threat against him. Some said that this kind of comment was unnecessary, while some thanked Star Magic for taking action and for caring for their talent.

Meanwhile, the Kapamilya actress has recently received praise from the online community for extending help to the earthquake victims in Cebu. Kim was in her home province when the earthquake happened. She said that she chose to personally give her donation, which was construction materials to help rebuild destroyed houses, because she already had doubts about whether she would make monetary donations.
