Former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Joj Agpangan was baptized and renewed her faith through a ceremony in Austin, Texas. In an Instagram post, the actress shared how it was “one of the best decisions” of her entire life as she moves to a new chapter.
Joj was baptized last November 16 which was witnessed by her friends and fiancé.
“I’ve always known God, but life can get loud. With social media, pressure, expectations, and being a public figure, I spent so much of my life trying to please everyone… and forgetting who I was really living for,” she wrote.
She added how making the big decision to move from the Philippines to the US was one of “the biggest changes” she’s faced and it was her faith that helped her adjust quickly to her new environment.“God was guiding me the whole time. Even in the uncertainty, He was steady. He was patient. He was leading me closer to Him,” she expressed.
Joj felt like it was time to renew her commitment to her faith as she willingly agreed to do the baptism.
“God has been moving so gently, so powerfully in my life — giving us blessings, new opportunities, peace, and surrounding us with the right people at the right time. And doing this with my man beside me made this moment even more meaningful,” she shared.
“This is a new beginning. A step of obedience. A step of trust. A step into the life God has been preparing me for,” she continued.
The former PBB housemate expressed her excitement as she steps into a new chapter of her life–– outside her comfort zone in the Philippines.
“Lord, I love You. Thank You for guiding me, strengthening me, and never letting go of my hand — from the Philippines, to Austin, to this exact moment. I’m proud to be Your daughter,” she ended.
Friends and family congratulated her in the comment section of her post.
