BILLIONAIRE POSSESSES AS A CARGO DRIVER TO TRY A PROMODISER — BUT WHEN THE MANAGER ABUSES THEM, EVERYONE IS SURPRISED WHEN THE MALL OWNER BOWS INTO “CARGO DRIVER”

Travis is the 27-year-old CEO of Empire Group, the company that owns the largest malls in the country. Tired of women who only chase money, he pretends to be “Tonio”—a construction worker.

He meets Jenny, a promodiser at a department store. Jenny is kind. Even though her salary is small, she always treats “Tonio” to siopao and mami.

“Tonio, eat a lot. I know you’re tired of lifting cement,” Jenny said sweetly.

“Jen, aren’t you ashamed of me?” Tonio asked as he wiped the charcoal off his face. “I’m dirty. I’m just poor.”

“What are you,” Jenny smiled. “Your job is honorable. What good is being rich to me if you’re a crook? As long as you work hard, I’m proud of you.”

That’s when Travis found out that Jenny was “The One.”

The day of the Store Anniversary arrived. The management had an order: No outsiders. No poor-looking.

Tonio picked Jenny up from the mall. She was wearing a faded t-shirt and muddy slippers.

Ms. Vera, the arrogant Store Manager, saw them.

“Jenny!” Ms. Vera screamed. “What is that beggar doing here again?! Didn’t I tell you that squatters are not allowed in my store?!”

“Ma’am, he’s my boyfriend. He just picked me up,” Jenny explained.

“Boyfriend?!” Ms. Vera sneered. “That’s why you’re not making progress! You’re stuck with a man who smells like dirt! You are dragging the image of my store down!”

They were surrounded by other employees and customers. Jenny was embarrassed.

“Ms. Vera, that’s enough,” Jenny pleaded.

“No!” Ms. Vera shouted. “Guard! Drag this construction worker out! And you, Jenny, YOU ARE FIRED! I don’t want substandard employees!”

The guard grabbed Tonio. Jenny was crying.

“Tonio, let’s go… sorry…” Jenny sobbed.

But Tonio didn’t move.

Instead, he laughed softly.

“Standard?” Tonio asked. His voice suddenly became serious and deep. “Ms. Vera, you have the audacity to speak standard.”

“Wow! You’re still answering?!” Ms. Vera was about to slap Tonio.

Suddenly, the glass doors of the mall entrance opened.

Ten men in black suits entered. Elite Bodyguards.

Following them were the mall’s Board of Directors and the Regional Manager. They were running, sweaty and terrified.

“They’re here!” people whispered. “Maybe they’re going to kick Tonio out!”

But the Regional Manager passed Ms. Vera.

They went straight to Tonio.

The Regional Manager and the Directors KNEELED and bowed in front of the construction worker at the same time.

“Good afternoon, Sir Travis,” they greeted in unison. “Sorry for the delay. Your office is ready.”

Ms. Vera was stunned. Her hand was stuck in the air. The guards’ jaws dropped. Jenny was stunned.

“S-Sir Travis?” Ms. Vera whispered.

Tonio slowly wiped his face with an expensive handkerchief that the bodyguard had handed him. He removed his contact lenses.

He appeared as Travis Empire—the billionaire owner of the entire mall.

“Ms. Vera,” Travis said coldly. “Are you calling the person who pays your salary a beggar?”

Ms. Vera turned pale. Her whole body was shaking. “S-Sir… are you the owner? No… I thought…”

“You thought I was a construction worker so you could step on us?” Travis interrupted. “The real cheap thing here is your attitude.”

Travis turned to the Regional Manager.

“Get rid of this woman. And make sure no one in the entire retail industry will accept her. I want her banned from all my properties.”

“Yes, Sir Travis!”

“Sir! Have mercy!” Ms. Vera cried as the guards he had ordered earlier dragged her away.

Travis turned to Jenny. His face returned to being gentle.

“Jenny,” Travis held the girl’s hand. “Sorry if I kept it a secret. I just wanted to make sure that the woman would love me not because of my money, but because of who I am. And that’s you.”

“Tonio… here, Travis…” Jenny said tearfully. “I’m scared. You’re a billionaire. I’m just a promoter.”

Travis smiled.

“You’re not a promoter anymore,” Travis said. “From now on, you are the Boss.”

Travis pulled out a ring.

“Jenny, will you marry me? Not as Mrs. Empire, but as the wife of Tonio, who loves you so much?”

“Yes! Of course!” Jenny replied.

The entire mall applauded. That day, everyone learned not to judge a book by its cover—because the person you’re laughing at now might just be the owner of the land you’re standing on.
