Sofia’s entire body went limp.
The folder that hit her face slid down onto the blanket, stained with blood. The wound on her lip reopened.
“Annulment…?” she whispered.
She clung to the baby, as if it were her only support in the world.
“Jason…” she called softly. “No matter what happens to us, he is still your son…”
But Jason still didn’t look.
Donya Elvira spoke again, her voice full of hatred.
“Don’t involve the child! We don’t need blood from someone like you!”

The nurse on the side sighed.
“That’s enough!” she said. “The patient just gave birth—”
“Be quiet!” Elvira shouted. “This is a public ward! We didn’t pay for privacy!”
Tiffany smiled, playing with her diamond earrings.
“Sofia,” she said coldly, “you will sign now, or we will throw you out of here like a beggar.”
Sofia was silent.
But deep inside her, something had completely shattered.
Love.
THE CONTENTS OF THE ENVELOPE
Slowly, Sofia reached for the folder.
Not to sign.
But to open it.
Inside it were not just annulment papers.
There was a small envelope.
There was a hospital stamp.
Sofia frowned.
“Why is there a billing statement here?” she asked.
Donya Elvira laughed.
“So you know how much you owe us! Even in a public ward, you still have to pay something!”
Sofia opened the paper.
And there—she stopped.
Not because of the amount.
But because of the name.
ACCOUNT HOLDER: MONTEMAYOR MEDICAL FOUNDATION
She looked around.
At the ceiling.
At the machines.
At the name of the hospital posted on the wall:
MONTEMAYOR GENERAL HOSPITAL
Sofia smiled softly.
A smile without tears.
THE FIRST ORDER
Sofia’s cell phone rang.
Just a message.
“We’re here, Ma’am Sofia.”
The nurse stood up as the door suddenly opened.
The Hospital Director, the Chief Medical Officer, and three men in suits entered.
Jason stood up.
“Why are you here?” he asked.
The director approached Sofia and bowed.
“Ma’am Sofia Montemayor,” he said politely,
“We apologize for what happened.”
Elvira’s eyes widened.
“What is this? Who is he?!”
Sofia gently handed her baby to the nurse.
Then—she stood up from the bed, even though her legs were still shaking.
“Jason,” she said calmly,
“from this moment on, my pretense is over.”
She turned to the director.
“Please close the public ward,” she ordered.
“From now on, this is a private wing.”
Tiffany turned pale.
“What—?”
“And you,” she pointed at Elvira,
“get out of my hospital.”
THE RECOGNITION
Sofia removed her hospital bracelet.
Underneath it—a diamond family ring.
“Jason,” she said coldly,
“I am Sofia Montemayor. Sole heir to the Montemayor Group.”
Jason felt as if he had been struck by lightning.
“No… that’s not true…”
“Three hospitals. Five companies. Two banks,” Sofia replied.
“And this hospital? Mine.”
The entire ward was silent.
“I chose to love you as a simple woman,” he added.
“But you chose to trade me.”
THE REVERSE OF FATE
“You can’t do this!” Elvira shouted.
Sofia smiled.
“You did it to me,” he replied.
Just one order—
Security dragged Elvira and Tiffany out.
Jason?
Remained on his knees.
“Sofia… please… I made a mistake…”
He looked at the baby.
“He’s still my son…”
“My son,” Sofia replied.
“And a man with dignity—unlike you.”
He handed over the annulment papers.
“I’ll sign,” he said.
“Not because I lost.”
“But because I won.”
THE FALL
A month later—
Jason lost his job.
The company he worked for?
Owned by the Montemayor Group.
Tiffany?
His friends abandoned him.
No wealth—no use.
Donya Elvira?
Confined—in the same hospital.
But in the charity ward.
THE LAST MEETING
Sofia entered Elvira’s room.
Quiet.
The old man’s voice was low.
“Sofia… forgive me…”
Sofia looked at her—without anger.
“I will not punish you,” she said.
“The truth is crueler.”
She turned away.
“This hospital is for mothers—
who should not be stepped on while they are still bleeding.”
THE NEW BEGINNING
A year had passed.
Sofia was a CEO.
Her son?
Healthy.
Beloved.
And Jason?
A man who once stepped on a goddess—
and lived with a lifelong regret.
THE RETURN OF THE QUÁ KHỨ PENALTIES
Two years had passed.
Sofia Montemayor’s name had become a symbol of power and mercy. Under his leadership, hundreds of public hospitals were renovated, thousands of mothers were saved.
But some people just don’t know how to learn.
One night, as Sofia was entering a charity gala, a thin, disheveled man with red eyes approached her.
It was Jason.
“Sofia…” he called hoarsely.
All the cameras stopped.
“What are you doing here?” Sofia asked coldly.
Jason knelt in front of her.
“I have nothing left,” she cried. “Tiffany left me. My mother threw me out. I can’t live anymore…”
The entire hall was silent.
“Do you want mercy?” Sofia asked.
Jason nodded.
He slowly bent down—not to help, but to whisper.
“Mercy,” he said,
“is only given to those who know how to be human.”
He turned away.
Jason was left kneeling in the light—
the exact opposite of what he had done before.
TIFFANY’S LAST LETTER
It wasn’t all over yet.
Tiffany—deep in debt and anger—tried to get revenge.
She spread rumors online:
“Sofia just used the money to buy justice.”
But a press conference answered.
An unexpected press conference.
In front of the media, Sofia released video recordings, medical reports, and the nurses’ testimonies from the day she was thrown out.
“I don’t need lies,” calmly
she said.
“I have the truth.”
The next day—
Tiffany was charged with defamation and harassment.
And completely disappeared from social circles.
THE CHILD
One day, Sofia’s daughter asked:
“Mom… why don’t I have a Dad?”
Sofia knelt in front of her.
“You have a Dad,” she said.
“But more importantly—you have a Mom who will never leave you.”
The child smiled.
“That’s enough.”
THE REAL VICTORY
In the last scene—
A new hospital was opened.
In front of the door, there was a plaque:
“For all the mothers who were underestimated while still bleeding.”
Sofia stood up amidst applause.
Not as a victim.
But as a woman who would never be stepped on again.
