Just last year, SB19 made waves in the international music scene after becoming the first Filipino act to perform on Japan’s famed YouTube channel, THE FIRST TAKE. Known for its distinctive format where artists deliver their songs in a single, unedited take, the platform—managed by Sony Music Entertainment Japan—has long been a stage for musical excellence across genres.

And this year, the P-pop kings have once again carved their name in history. SB19 has officially become the first homegrown Filipino act to be included in the pre-voting round of KBS’ Music Bank with their track “DAM” from the Simula at Wakas EP, further solidifying their growing global influence.

Airing every Friday at 5:15 PM KST on KBS2, KBS’ Music Bank stands as one of South Korea’s most respected and long-running music programs. Since 2015, it has also captivated international audiences through KBS World, reaching more than a hundred countries.

The show has become a global stage where today’s biggest hits—from K-pop and hip-hop to ballad and R&B—are performed by both established and rising artists, reflecting the vibrant heartbeat of the Korean music scene.

Now, making another mark in history, SB19, comprised of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, has officially entered the pre-voting round for Episode 1271 of Music Bank, scheduled to air on November 14, 2025.

This inclusion signifies more than just another accolade for the group, it represents a milestone for the entire P-pop movement. For the first time ever, a homegrown Filipino act has earned recognition from one of South Korea’s music platforms, signaling how far Filipino pop has come in capturing global attention.

According to Music Bank’s official scoring system, digital streaming accounts for the biggest portion at 60 percent (120,000 points), while broadcast exposure contributes 20 percent (40,000 points). Fan votes via the Mubeat app make up 10 percent (20,000 points), and album sales and social media engagement on platforms like YouTube and TikTok each carry 5 percent (10,000 points). These metrics collectively determine which artist takes the weekly crown.

Fans worldwide can support SB19 by voting through the Fancast app, which allows participation even from outside South Korea. As of the latest update, SB19 currently holds the fifth spot in the ongoing pre-voting.

Throughout their career, SB19 has consistently broken barriers for Filipino artists. They are the first Southeast Asian act to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards and the first Southeast Asian artist to land in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Social 50 chart.
