All the high society is in the Grand Ballroom. The guests are whispering, waiting to see if the “poor” ex-wife will show up.

The door opens. Diana enters.

Diana climbed onto the stage. Calm. No tears.

Diana motioned to her assistant. She handed over a Black Velvet Box with a red ribbon. It looked like it would hold an expensive necklace.

“This is for you, Trina,” Diana said. “Open it. I think you’ll like it. It’s a memento of true love.”

Trina excitedly took the box. Maybe it’s jewelry. This old man is just afraid of me, she thought.

Trina opened the box in front of everyone. The cameras were focused and its contents were projected onto a large screen.

When Trina lifted the lid, her smile disappeared. She turned pale. Her hands began to tremble.

This was not jewelry.

This was a stack of Polaroid photos.

On the large screen, everyone saw the contents of the photo:

Trina, lying on the bed, hugging a man.

Trina, kissing the man inside the car.

Trina, checking into the motel with the man.

And the man in the photo?
