BILLIONAIRE TAKES ON SECURITY GUARD TO FIND “THE ONE” — A MANAGER LET HIM GO AND TOLD HIM TO BUY COFFEE — WHEN HE RETURNS, HE’S THE ONE WHO’S BEEN THE ONE WHO’S BEEN THE ONE
THE BILLIONAIRE AT THE DOOR
Marco, 28, is the CEO and owner of Vista Empire. Handsome, smart, and extremely wealthy. But he’s sad because all the women who approach him are only after money.

So he thought of doing a Social Experiment.

For a month, he wore a Security Guard uniform. He put on glasses and didn’t do his hair. He was “Kuya Marco” who opened the door to the lobby of his own company.

He wanted to see who was really kind.

Many employees greeted him, especially Bea, a simple clerk who always gave him biscuits. But there was one person who always made him angry.

Ms. Stella, the Head of HR. Poor, grumpy, and thinks of herself as a queen.

THE QUEEN’S ORDER
One Monday morning, Stella was in a bad mood. She was late and the coffee machine in the pantry was broken.

When she entered the lobby, she saw Marco standing there.

“Hey! Guard!” Stella shouted while pointing at Marco.

“Good morning, Ma’am Stella,” Marco greeted.

“Don’t say good morning to me! I’m having a bad trip!” Stella snapped. “You, you’re doing nothing but standing there. Go to the Starbucks on the other corner. Buy me an Iced Americano. Hurry up!”

Marco was shocked. “Ma’am, I’m sorry. We’re not allowed to leave our post. It’s my job to guard the entrance.”

Stella blushed with anger. She approached Marco and pointed at his chest.

“How dare you refuse?! Do you know how much you earn? That’s just a change from what I earn! You’re just a waste!”

Stella took out a Thousand from her wallet and threw it at Marco’s face.

“There! Keep the change! Take that and buy me a coffee! If you’re not here in 10 minutes, I’ll make sure you’re fired!”

The employees looked at them. They felt sorry for Kuya Marco but were afraid of Stella.

Marco picked up the money. He smiled strangely.

“Okay, Ma’am. I’ll buy it. Wait.”

THE CHANGE
Marco left. But he didn’t go to the coffee shop.

He took the Private Elevator at the back of the building using his Master Keycard. He went straight to the Penthouse Office on the top floor.

There, his secretary and stylists were waiting.

“Sir Marco? Why are you wearing that?” the secretary asked.

“The pretense is over,” Marco said seriously. “Prepare my suit. The $10,000 Italian Suit. And call the Board of Directors.”

Marco took a shower. He fixed his hair. He put on his expensive watch and his custom-made suit.

When he faced the mirror, “Kuya Guard” was gone. The powerful CEO was standing there.

THE RETURN
An hour passed.

Stella was furious in the lobby. She was waiting for the guard.

“Where is that scoundrel?! It’s been an hour! Get ready for me!” Stella shouted.

Suddenly, the elevator rang.

TING!

The door opened.

A man came out, very fragrant, very elegant, and full of authority. Ten executives of the company followed him.

All the employees were stunned.

“OMG! Sir Marco!”

“The owner is handsome!”

Stella was stunned. This was her crush! The mysterious CEO who rarely showed up. She immediately fixed her hair and retouched her lipstick.

Stella approached Sir Marco with a faint smile.

“Good morning, Sir Marco,” she greeted flirtatiously. “Welcome back. I’m Stella, Head of HR. If you need anything…”

Marco stopped in front of Stella. He looked her over from head to toe.

“Actually, I need something,” Marco said coldly.

“Anything, Sir,” Stella replied excitedly.

Marco took out a crumpled One Thousand Pesos—the same money Stella had thrown down earlier.

He handed it to Stella.

“Here. Keep the change.”

THE VERDICT
Stella’s smile disappeared. She looked at the money. She stared at Marco’s face. The eyes… the voice…

“G-Guard?” Stella whispered, turning pale. “I-You’re the guard?!”

“It’s me,” Marco replied. “The guard you called a vagrant. The guard you threw money at.”

Stella knelt down in fear. “Sir! I’m sorry! I don’t know! I thought…”

“What did you think? That just because I’m a guard, you have the right to step on me?”

Marco turned to all the employees.

“In this company, there is no room for people with bad manners. A true leader knows how to respect the janitor, the guard, and the CEO equally.”

He turned to Stella.

“Ms. Stella. You are fired. Effective immediately. Get out of my building.”

“Sir! Have mercy!” Stella cried as the real security guards dragged her out.

END
When Stella was finally released, Marco approached Bea, the clerk who always gave her biscuits.

“Bea,” Marco smiled.

“S-Sir?” Bea replied in surprise.

“Because you were the only one who was kind to me when I wasn’t wearing expensive clothes… you’re promoted to be my new Executive Assistant.”

The entire company applauded.

That day, everyone learned not to judge a book by its cover. Because the “security guard” you thought you were insulting, might actually be the one holding the key to your future.
