BILLIONAIRE DISGUISES AS DISHWASHER TO KEEP HER FIANCÉ — BEHIND THE KITCHEN, SHE CAUGHT HIM WITH ANOTHER AND HEARD WORDS THAT CRUSHED HER
Isabella “Bella” Tan is the heiress to the country’s largest Hotel and Restaurant Empire. At 28, she has it all—money, power, and beauty. All she needs is a true love.
She thought she had found him in Rico, a handsome and eloquent rising businessman. They are engaged and will be married next month.
But in recent weeks, Bella has been feeling strange. Rico is often busy, has “emergency meetings” at night, and sometimes his polo shirt smells of women’s perfume.
As a smart businesswoman, Bella doesn’t just believe hearsay. She wants evidence.
She decided to do something Rico would never consider.
At one of her high-end restaurants, Casa Luna, Bella posed as a newly hired dishwasher. She wore an old t-shirt, loose pants, boots, and hid her beautiful hair in a hairnet. She put a little charcoal on her face to look dirty. She introduced herself as “Inday.”
It was hot, noisy, and smelly inside the kitchen. Bella was not used to this hardship. It hurt her back to scrub the leftover food off the plate all day. But she endured it all.
She knew Rico would be coming tonight for a “client meeting” in the VIP room.
Around eight o’clock in the evening, Rico arrived. Bella heard the manager greeting Rico from the kitchen. “Good evening, Sir Rico! Your partner in Private Room 2 is here.”
An hour later, Rico said goodbye to go to CR. But instead of going to the guest bathroom, she went through the service hallway—the dark hallway behind the kitchen where the staff rested.
Bella quickly hid behind the piled-up vegetable boxes. She peeked through the small opening.
She saw Rico. He wasn’t alone.
He was with a woman—Vanessa, Rico’s very own secretary.
Rico pulled Vanessa into a dark corner and hugged her tightly. He kissed her hard, a kiss he had never given Bella.
“Rico, I’m tired,” Vanessa complained, crying. “How long are we going to hide? You’re getting married to him next month! What are we going to do?”
Bella heard Rico’s deep sigh. He stroked Vanessa’s hair.
“Babe, just be patient, okay? We’re almost there,” Rico whispered, but Bella could hear every word.
“Once we get married, half of the Tans’ wealth will be mine. Bella is so easy to fool. She’s an idiot, she loves me so much. She’ll believe everything I say.”
Rico laughed softly.
“I’m only marrying her for her money. Once I get control of their companies, I’ll leave her too. And we’ll both enjoy her wealth.”
It was as if boiling oil had been poured over Bella.
The pain quickly turned to intense anger. The tears that fell from her eyes mixed with the sweat and dirt on her face.
She was an idiot.
Rico and Vanessa turned to go back inside, but they were stopped when they heard a crash.
Bella intentionally dropped a large pot. BLAG!
“Who is that?!” Rico shouted in shock.
Bella came out of the darkness. Dirty. Smelly. In a hairnet.
“You?” Rico said irritably when he saw the “dishwasher”. “Were you there earlier? What did you hear? Get out of here, you stink!”
Bella didn’t answer.
She slowly removed her hairnet. Her long, shiny hair fell down.
She took out a clean towel and wiped the dirt off her face. She looked straight into Rico’s eyes. The look that could knock out business competitors.
Rico’s eyes widened. He turned pale as paper. He let go of Vanessa.
“B-Bella…?” Rico stammered. “What… why… why are you here? Why do you look like that?”
Bella smiled. A scary smile.
“Why, Rico? Isn’t it my thing?” Bella asked in a cold voice. “You said I was ‘stupid’. So maybe washing dishes is my thing, right?”
“Honey, wait! Let me explain! What you heard is not true! We were just acting!” Rico apologized, his hands shaking as he approached Bella.
“Don’t touch me with the hands you used to hold your hook,” Bella said firmly.
The restaurant manager and chefs came out because of the noise. They were shocked to see that their dishwasher, “Inday,” was the billionaire owner, Ma’am Bella.
“Rico,” Bella said, as all the employees looked at her. “You want money, right? Well, I’ll make sure you don’t get a single cent from me.”
